A lot to be thankful for today. Went to early mass to thank God for all my blessings. Then made a quiet short trip to the office to help load up the dental chairs, X-ray machines and big equipment. I am confident these chairs will be used to provide good dental care in another practice.
The decision to close my practice was not easy, but as the years have gone by, I knew the day would come to say, it鈥檚 time.
My kids were reminiscing about the countless hours they would spend at my office. At times they were there for simple dental cleanings but sometimes it was because they were sick and I couldn鈥檛 just take the day off or take them home, nope, I would use one of the dental chairs, recline them, cover them with a blanket and let them sleep. Then there were the days when I would pick them up from school, bring them back to the office , make dinner in the employee break room and off we go to whatever sports or school activity we had to go to before going home. Even my grandchildren spent time at my office during the summers and learned how to use the dental chairs, suctions and even don PPE.
My 4 children worked for me in one way or another throughout the years and until the bitter end, for that I am eternally grateful. My husband gave me legal counsel and was my biggest supporter for the 22 years that I have been at this location and my 31 years of practicing dentistry. Thank you all, I feel the love.
Thank you to all my employees over the years that helped me make the practice successful. Thank you to all my family and patients who had confidence in me, to service their dental needs. I have enjoyed dentistry and the challenges that come with the career.
I look forward to seeing you soon at 09 Dental in a limited capacity but with a full service office. I鈥檓 excited for the future. 馃Ψ 馃 馃挏
