Accessible dental care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) can be challenging, but The Arc of San Antonio is determined to help bridge the gap with Believe Dental. Join us on Tuesday, September 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the new Believe Dental Clinic at Morgan's Multi-Assistance Center (MAC) for our first Dental for All Open House!

Believe Dental will be giving a tour of their facility where individuals with IDD and their families can feel comfortable visiting the dentist! We will also be providing refreshments, a raffle, and the event is free to attend.

In 1987, President Reagan designated March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month to raise public awareness and support for Americans with developmental disabilities, aiming to provide encouragement and opportunities for their full potential.

Observed annually in March, this month is dedicated to advocating for the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities and fostering inclusion within communities. Various events, workshops, and campaigns are hosted by organizations and advocacy groups to educate the public and celebrate the achievements of individuals with developmental disabilities. The goal is to promote understanding, support, and inclusion in all aspects of society.
