To all our patients and colleagues; the past few weeks has seen our lives turned upside down and many changes are still to come. With that, we hope everyone is taking measures to keep themselves safe and healthy. We all can make a difference here. Keeping ourselves healthy will help keep those around us safe and healthy.
We are open and will continue to care for our patients and help our colleagues in the community to do the same.
We ask that anyone who is ill, has symptoms, or a fever contact us before you come to assess the safety of arrival. Also if you have traveled via plane, cruise or mass transit in the past two weeks, please call us to reschedule.
For the immediate future, we may have to slowly shift our attention away from purely elective procedures and may ask some of you to postpone appointments till more is known about the spread of this illness. However, we ask that people understand that the situation is evolving daily and we will update this as often as possible.
With regard to appointments, we want to make sure everyone is safe here - whether you're the patient or accompanying someone who is - so we have taken steps to be proactive in keeping our family and yours as far from this virus as we can. Although we are always diligent and obsessed with cleanliness, we have increased our frequency of disinfecting areas routinely contacted by hands (counter tops, light switched, door handles, etc), removed communal items such as magazines and coffee makers and continue our use of Universal Precautions.
Additionally, we have added a "Fever Screening" at the door, so we ask everyone who enters the building (including ourselves) to have their temperature checked at the door to limit potential exposures. Anyone over 100.4 degrees (CDC) will be asked not to enter and return home for the safety of everyone.
We will reschedule you once you are healthy again.
We understand these may inconvenience some of you, but these are difficult and challenging times for all of us and we ask that you respect our attempts to help our community and World.
We will be updating this as information is available. Thank you and stay healthy and clean.
