In 2024, breast cancer was responsible for approximately 694,000 deaths worldwide, making it the most prevalent cancer among women in 164 out of 186 countries. Notably, around 80% of breast cancer cases arise in women without any specific risk factors, aside from being female and older. Additionally, men account for about 0.5–1% of breast cancer diagnoses. To alleviate the impact of breast cancer, effective strategies for early detection, coupled with comprehensive treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care, are vital for achieving and sustaining optimal health and quality of life.
