Many people assume that brushing harder means getting their teeth cleaner. It seems logical that if plaque sticks to teeth, a little extra pressure should remove it better.

But at Paradise Dental Associates, we often see the opposite. Brushing too aggressively can actually irritate the gums and wear down tooth enamel over time.
