Matching one front tooth to the one beside it is the hardest thing in cosmetic dentistry. Genuinely harder than doing ten.
With ten you control everything. The shade, the shape, how light moves through them. With one you’re copying a living tooth that has decades of character in it, and it has to hold up next to that tooth in every light it’s ever going to be seen in.
Which is why redoing the single tooth isn’t always the right answer. Sometimes it’s better to whiten everything first and then match to where your teeth have actually landed. Sometimes two teeth is easier to make invisible than one. And sometimes the crown is fine and the thing bothering you is the gum line, which is a different job altogether.
I can’t tell you which from a photo. I can tell you once I’ve had a proper look.
