Full mouth X-rays are typically taken about every 5 years so we can evaluate the full picture of your teeth, including bone levels and root structures. Bitewing X-rays only show part of the tooth, which means deeper concerns below the surface can sometimes go unseen without a full set when needed.

A common concern is radiation exposure, but modern digital X-rays use extremely low levels, often compared to something as everyday as eating a banana. The technology has advanced significantly, making imaging quick, safe, and highly detailed. 🍌🔍

Another update in modern dentistry is that lead aprons are no longer required with digital systems, since safety standards and precision technology have improved so much.
