It's Halloween-eve! As you prepare for a night of tricks and treats, it's important to consider the type of candy your children enjoy and how frequently they indulge in their sweets.

Sticky candies, such as taffy or gummies, and hard candies are two types of sweets than can be mega mouth monsters! These types stick to your teeth and aren't as easily washed away by saliva, which can lead to tooth decay and cavities. It's also important to enjoy candy in moderation, as snacking throughout the day for multiple days can lead to increased dental issues as well!

Keep babies and children safe in the heat by:

•Keeping them hydrated

•Never leaving them in a parked car, even if the windows are open

•Dressing them in loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing

•Taking breaks in the shade or an air-conditioned area

•For babies under 6 months, giving a little extra breastmilk or formula

•For babies over 6 months, giving a little water
