Drs. Americo Fraboni and Laura Krueger visited the St. Croix Falls Middle School to talk with fifth-grade students about puberty—a vital part of health education. The goal of the discussion was to help students understand changes in the body that occur as we grow.

"Sharing this information is a great way to support our community while ensuring students receive accurate, age-appropriate guidance," Dr. Krueger said.

National Trauma Awareness Month is an annual campaign focused on empowering communities to prevent injuries and protect lives. This year’s theme is, “Stay Focused. Stay Safe.”

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "315,167 people were injured due to distracted driving in 2024."

Focus is one of our strongest tools for staying safe. A single moment of distraction can place any of us at risk. Whether we are crossing the street, driving, swimming, working, or enjoying everyday activities, being fully present helps us make safer choices and avoid preventable injuries. When we tune out distractions and pay attention to our surroundings, we protect ourselves and the people around us.
