Greenhaven Pediatric Dentistry is moving our Sacramento office to a brand-new home!

For 13 wonderful years, we have been incredibly blessed to watch your children grow, celebrate lost teeth, and share countless giggles in our current office. You aren't just our patients—you are family, and we are so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us for over a decade.

While it is sentimental to say goodbye to the space where it all started, we are overjoyed to welcome you to a fresh, beautiful new office designed to make your child's dental visits better than ever!

📅 The Big Day: We officially open the doors to our new location on Friday, October 2!

Please welcome Dr. Emily Schumacher!

Dr. Schumacher is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and moved to the Sacramento area last year with her husband, who works at UC Davis and their two cats (Spaghetti and Meatball).

She attended both undergraduate and dental school at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Schumacher competed in Division I track and field for four years and is passionate about coaching youth sports and helping kids develop confidence through athletics. In dental school, she was awarded the Outstanding Behavior Management for Pediatric Patients and Patients with Special Needs scholarship.

Dr. Schumacher attended Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for additional residency training in Pediatric Dentistry where she focused on refining behavior management to make all kids feel comfortable and safe at the dentist, learning diverse and new treatment options, and practicing surgical dentistry.

She loves spending time with family and friends. Dr. Schumacher also enjoys trying new activities and recently started playing in a flag football league on the weekends. She is excited to join the Greenhaven practice and bring her best to you and your family!

Please help us Welcome Dr. Richard Lu!
We are excited to announce that he will be joining our team in August 2023.

A local to the area, Dr. Lu was born and raised in Davis, California. As a child, his love for candy led him to frequent the dental office where he had amazing experiences with his pediatric dentist. These formative experiences inspired Dr. Lu to become a dentist himself.

Dr. Lu attended the University of the Pacific for his undergraduate degree in biological sciences where he graduated magna cm laude. After completing his undergraduate studies, he went on to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a dentist by attending the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors and was recognized for his achievements in pediatric dentistry with the "Warren Family Endowment Award for Outstanding Dental Care for Children by a Senior Student".

With a passion for working with kids, Dr. Lu continued his education after dental school at the nationally regarded Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin residency program to obtain his certificate of specialty in pediatric dentistry. As a specialist, Dr. Lu has received advanced education in child psychology, child development, management of oral-facial trauma, oral conscious sedation, general anesthesia, and the management of kids with medical complexities and special needs.

In his free time, Dr. Lu enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, and playing volleyball.
