A huge thank you to Dr. Santos Cortez for hosting the CSPD Lunch & Learn for the residents at Loma Linda University. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with the next generation of dentists, share knowledge, and highlight the value of being involved in organized dentistry.

Events like these remind us that organized dentistry is more than advocacy—it’s about building relationships, supporting our profession, and creating opportunities to learn and grow together.

✨ CSPD Foundation Membership Spotlight! ✨

Meet Michelle Chiang, our Warren Brandli Leadership (WBI) Intern, joining the CSPD Foundation team in 2026! 💙

Michelle is passionate about working alongside individuals who are motivated to advance the field of pediatric dentistry. She especially appreciates how the CSPD Foundation supports residents through grants, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. 🦷✨

📚 Outside of dentistry, Michelle describes herself as a serial hobbyist she enjoys reading, skiing, running, and even collecting frog knickknacks. 🐸

💬 Michelle’s advice:
“Don’t be afraid to reach out and try something new! So many people are willing to help out, especially in the CSPD Foundation!”

We’re excited to have Michelle as part of the WBI program and look forward to seeing her grow as a leader in pediatric dentistry and organized dentistry! 🌟

✨ CSPD Foundation Membership Spotlight ✨

Meet Dr. Angela Angelova, one of our current Warren Brandli Leadership Intern and a PGY-2 Pediatric Dental Resident at UCSF! 🎉

Angela was inspired to become involved with the CSPD Foundation through the Warren Brandli Internship, where she discovered a passion for leadership, advocacy, and organized dentistry.

💙 What she enjoys most about the Foundation:
"The opportunity to work alongside pediatric dentists who are passionate about organized dentistry, education, and advocacy. It's been an incredible experience meeting mentors and colleagues I otherwise may never have had the chance to know."

Outside of residency, Angela loves exploring San Francisco, traveling, scrapbooking her adventures, and getting lost in a great mystery or fiction novel. 📚✈️

🐾 Fun fact: She once owned an adorable hedgehog named Mango Pricklepants while living in Texas!

Angela encourages fellow residents to get involved:

Sacramento Advocacy Day 2026! To celebrate Children’s Oral Health Month our CSPD Interns and CSPD Board members spent the day at the capitol advocating to reject the proposed 1 billion dollar tax cut to Medi-Cal funding!
