Appreciation post! Most of our patients are school aged kids. So, we held a contest to have students nominate their favorite teacher! The winners were Mrs. Gorski at Heron Elementary School and Mrs. Mesner at Mariemont Elementary School. Our teachers work so hard that we wanted to give back and show our thanks for all their hard work!

Happy Saint Patrickโ€™s Day!๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŸฉ๐Ÿ€ While itโ€™s a great day to wear green, itโ€™s also a great day to learn something funโ€ฆItโ€™s Fun Fact Friday! ๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜So while youโ€™re out celebrating and wearing green, we wanted to remind you all how to brush your teeth with braces! When brushing, just remember these simple steps!

First, you want to remove elastics, bands, or removable parts of orthodontic appliances. Next, Clean your braces by carefully cleaning around wires and pins. Make sure to brush each bracket and move top to bottom, and all the way around the upper and lower teeth.

We always want to brush our teeth for two minutes, twice daily. That means each quadrant of your mouth gets 30 seconds.

Lastly, you want to rinse, and then check your teeth: Rinse thoroughly. Examine teeth and braces in the mirror, and remember to look for any remaining food particles.
