Person Family Medical & Dental Center offers Medical, Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, and Dental services with convenient hours Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The center has Certified Application and SHIP Counselors available onsite to assist the uninsured and Medicare recipients with their insurance. This is a free service offered to the community. representative onsite to collect labs regardless of who your primary care provider or doctor's office is. You may also pay your LabCorp. Notice to our patients: This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals. Today, Person Family Medical Center, Inc. (PFMC) was honored to have members of our Outreach and Marketing Department attend the Needleworkers’ Appreciation Lunch at Roxboro Baptist Church! It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate an extraordinary group of individuals whose generosity, creativity, and dedication have made a lasting difference throughout our community. 🥰👏

🪡 WHO ARE THE NEEDLEWORKERS?
The Needleworkers are a dedicated group of talented individuals who use their sewing, quilting, and needlework skills to create beautiful, handmade items that bring comfort, joy, and encouragement to others. Through their time, talents, and generous hearts, they turn fabric and thread into meaningful gifts that remind people they are cared for and supported.
Groups like the Needleworkers are so important because they represent the very best of community service. Their work is a beautiful reminder that making a difference does not always require grand gestures. Sometimes, it begins with a needle, a thread, willing hands, and a heart that wants to help someone else. Their generosity strengthens community connections and inspires others to give back in their own special ways.

Person Family Medical Center and the Needleworkers have shared a wonderful partnership for many, many years! Throughout the years, this incredible group has blessed PFMC on numerous occasions with their handmade creations and generosity, allowing us to extend that kindness to the patients, families, and individuals throughout the communities we serve. Because of their thoughtfulness, we have been able to share their gifts with others and help bring smiles, comfort, and encouragement to those who need it most. We are truly grateful for a partnership that continues to remind us what community is all about: people coming together, sharing what they have, and making life a little brighter for someone else. 💙🤝

Today, the staff at Person Family Medical Center, Inc. (PFMC) proudly wore pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, showing our support for the individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer. 💕🌸
Wearing pink is more than a way to show our support—it is a symbol of hope, strength, courage, and solidarity with those who are fighting breast cancer, those who have overcome it, those currently undergoing treatment, and those who continue to honor the memory of loved ones lost to this disease.
At PFMC, we recognize that breast cancer affects more than just the individual diagnosed. It touches families, friends, caregivers, and entire communities. Behind every diagnosis is a personal journey filled with challenges, resilience, and the support of those who care.

Today, we stand together to remind everyone that no one should face that journey alone. 💗
Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as an important reminder to prioritize breast health, learn about breast cancer risks, and take proactive steps toward early detection. Although breast cancer can affect anyone, understanding your personal risk factors and talking with your healthcare provider about appropriate screening options are important steps in protecting your health.
Early detection can make a significant difference. We encourage our community members to:
🎀 Stay informed: Learn about breast cancer, its warning signs, and factors that may increase your risk.
🎀 Know your body: Pay attention to changes in your breasts, including new lumps, swelling, skin changes, or changes in appearance, and promptly discuss any concerns with your healthcare provider.
🎀 Prioritize screenings: Talk with your healthcare provider about when to begin mammograms and how often you should be screened based on your age, personal health history, and individual risk factors.
🎀 Encourage others: Remind the women and loved ones in your life to prioritize their breast health and schedule recommended screenings.
🎀 Offer support: A simple phone call, encouraging message, helping hand, or listening ear can mean so much to someone navigating a cancer diagnosis or treatment.

Person Family Medical Center, Inc. (PFMC) is proud to recognize our dedicated Outreach and Marketing Team for attending the Enrollment Assister Conference held in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Tuesday, October 13, and Wednesday, October 14, 2026!

This conference provided an excellent opportunity for our team to expand their knowledge, discuss changes that will be made to Medicaid strengthen their skills, connect with fellow enrollment professionals, and gain valuable information to continue making a difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.
Enrollment Assister Conferences bring together Certified Application Counselors, enrollment specialists, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other individuals who play an essential role in helping people understand and access health coverage. These conferences provide opportunities for professional development, collaboration, education, and discussion about the evolving healthcare landscape.

With healthcare coverage options, eligibility requirements, enrollment procedures, and healthcare policies continually changing, it is essential for enrollment professionals to remain informed and prepared. Conferences like this help equip assisters with updated information, practical resources, and tools they can use to guide individuals and families through the enrollment process with greater confidence and accuracy.

As Certified Application Counselors, our Outreach and Marketing Team plays a vital role in helping individuals and families navigate health insurance options, including Medicaid and Health Insurance Marketplace coverage through HealthCare.gov.

With important Medicaid changes expected to begin in 2027 for certain adults ages 19–64, along with the upcoming HealthCare.gov Open Enrollment period beginning November 1, 2026, staying informed is more important than ever! Our team is committed to helping individuals understand their coverage options, ask the right questions, and take proactive steps to prepare potential changes that may affect them and their families. We understand that navigating health insurance can sometimes feel overwhelming. That is why we are committed to providing guidance, education, and enrollment assistance to help make the process easier to understand.

The entire team at Person Family Medical Center, Inc. (PFMC) is excited to congratulate Bailey Chambers-Napier, RN, BSN, on her new role as Director of Clinical Operations and Care Manager, effective October 12, 2026! 👏🎊
This exciting next step reflects PFMC’s continued commitment to strengthening our organization, improving care coordination, and ensuring that our patients receive the quality, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare they deserve.
In her new role, Bailey will help strengthen communication and collaboration among our clinical teams, providers, nursing staff, care management, behavioral health, and other departments throughout PFMC. Her responsibilities will include supporting clinical operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, helping coordinate patient care, and promoting greater consistency and continuity across our services.

🌟💙 PFMC IN THE COMMUNITY: TURNING HEALTHCARE CONVERSATIONS INTO COMMUNITY IMPACT! 💚🌟

Person Family Medical Center, Inc. (PFMC) is proud to recognize Latasha Lea, Outreach and Marketing Assistant, for representing our organization at The Conversation: Policy to Patients Reshaping NC Healthcare Access, an event planned by North Carolina Med Assist! 🤝🏥

This meaningful event brought together healthcare professionals, community partners, and other organizations for an important conversation about how healthcare policies influence access to care and, ultimately, the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities throughout North Carolina.
North Carolina Med Assist is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to healthcare for individuals who face barriers to obtaining affordable medications and essential healthcare resources. Through programs that support medication access, health education, and community outreach, Med Assist works to help underserved individuals better manage their health and connect with resources that can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

The purpose of The Conversation: Policy to Patients was to create an opportunity for meaningful dialogue about the connection between healthcare policy and the real-life experiences of the people those policies affect. By bringing different perspectives to the table, the event encouraged collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and thoughtful discussions about how healthcare organizations can work together to address barriers and improve access to care across North Carolina.

Attendees also had the opportunity to engage directly with panelists, ask questions, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing our healthcare system.
For Person Family Medical Center, Inc., participation in events like this is more than attending a discussion. It is about identifying opportunities to grow, build partnerships, and bring additional resources and services directly to the communities we serve.
