These four ladies help keep everything running smoothly—from verifying insurance and coordinating appointments before your visit to handling follow-ups afterward. They are often the first voice you hear, the first smile you see, and the behind-the-scenes problem solvers who keep our days on track.

We always treasure these opportunities to step away from the office, share a great meal, and enjoy each other’s company.

Busy day of celebration at Yaya Smiles! Not only is it Emily’s birthday, but today also marks Stacy’s 36th work anniversary. 🎉

There’s not much we can say about Stacy that you all don’t already know and love. You can hear her laughter in every corner of the office, and her hugs have a way of warming your soul. She is selfless, kind, encouraging, and always willing to help others.

Stacy is one of those special people who sets the standard for everyone who comes after her. Through her dedication to her patients, her teammates, and this profession, she has left a lasting impact on countless lives over the past 36 years.

Today we celebrate a double milestone for Hannah — her birthday AND her first work anniversary at Yaya Smiles! 🎉🎂 🦷

Hannah is huge on patient education, always taking the time to explain things clearly using descriptive words, visual aids, and anything else that helps patients truly understand their oral health. She is empathetic, eager, detail-oriented, and usually one of the very first people to arrive in the morning.

One of the most special things about Hannah is how she starts our mornings. Every day, Hannah leads our morning prayer, praying for our team, our families, our patients, and anyone else who may need a little extra love and support. It’s such a meaningful part of our day and says so much about the kind of person she is.

Fun fact: on Hannah’s very first day of work, she brought homemade tooth shaped cookies for the team. 🤤🍪🦷

Even more special, Hannah’s family has been lifelong patients of the practice, so having her become part of our work family feels incredibly full circle.

Happy 1st Work Anniversary to our Emily! 🎉🦷

Emily came to us straight from Owens Community College after being highly recommended by one of her instructors, who described her as sweet, respectful, a great listener, and eager to learn. After this past year with her, we couldn’t agree more!

In one whole year, we have not had a single patient say a negative thing about Emily. In fact, so many patients rave about how gentle, kind, and sweet she is. As a teammate, Emily is funny, engaging, helpful, and always willing to jump in and participate in every office event. She is calm and mellow enough to balance out all of our loudness and craziness, yet witty enough to blend right in with us. We truly cannot imagine Yaya Smiles without her.

As a clinician, Emily is thorough, focused, efficient, and detail-oriented. She cares deeply about her patients and the quality of care she provides every single day.

Today we celebrate the faces of Yaya Smiles, our receptionists. The first people you see when you walk through our doors, the voices that call and text you about appointments, the people reading through pages of insurance breakdowns, submitting claims, reviewing financial arrangements, coordinating care with specialists, keeping our flowers and plants alive, and handling a million little things behind the scenes to keep every day running smoothly.

Our receptionists work tirelessly to make sure your experience is excellent from “hello” to “see you next time.” They are also the people keeping us clinic people on track. If we’re ahead of schedule, they move patients up. If we’re behind, they communicate with patients, help clean rooms, seat patients, and jump in anywhere needed to keep the day flowing. If they can help, you can bet they will.

Beyond the collective importance of their role, each of them brings something uniquely special to our office.

Melinda is thorough, detail-oriented, and charismatic. She knows just about every patient, makes sure we balance at the end of each night (which is no easy task!), handles collections, schedules our hygiene columns, writes our special occasion cards, and even helps the hygienists with perio charting. She’s also the one cleaning out the office fridge, making sure the lights are turned off, and checking that the doors are locked at the end of the day.

Rilee brings serenity to the office. Nothing rattles her, and she always has a smile on her face no matter the situation. She coordinates with specialist offices to make sure patients receive the next steps of their care in a timely manner and handles the majority of our follow-up calls to check on patients after treatment. She also keeps our plants alive and beautiful… minus our love fern that’s currently hanging on by a thread.

Paige is a master with words and speaks so eloquently. She is dependable, an excellent listener, and has a killer sense of wit. Paige is usually on the phone with insurance companies trying to proactively gather information on out-of-pocket costs for patients, or calling other offices for X-rays and chart information. Right after lunch, Paige spends her favorite 30 minutes of the summer watering the outside flowers. Ever since Paige joined us, our garden beds have never looked better!

Isabella is our newest and youngest addition. I admittedly pick on her the most out of all of our receptionists — but don’t worry, she stands up for herself just fine and gives me a run for my money too. Isabella recently earned her radiology license with a perfect 100% on her test so she can help us take X-rays whenever needed. When I randomly bought a dental insurance book on a whim, she was the first one to sit down and read through it. She is always eager to learn and help wherever she can.

Thank you ladies for everything you do every single day. Our office simply would not function without you, and we are so lucky to have such hardworking, caring, and hilarious people representing Yaya Smiles from the very first interaction. Happy National Receptionist Day! 💐

Happy Work Anniversary to our Amy! 🤍

Amy is the definition of calm, caring, and dependable. She has a gentle way of making patients feel safe and comfortable, whether it’s reassuring nervous patients, holding a hand during treatment, or simply taking the time to truly listen. Patients of all ages adore her, and it’s easy to see why.

Amy is also responsible for us having the fattest squirrels in town. 🐿️ Rain or shine, she makes sure her furry friends are well fed before the work day even starts.

Her kindness extends to her teammates too. Amy is always checking to see if everyone needs anything before heading home for the day, and she brings such a steady, positive presence to the office.

We are so lucky to have Amy as part of the Yaya Smiles family. Thank you for all of your hard work, compassion, and dedication. Happy work anniversary, Amy! 🎉

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Yaya Smiles! 🩷

Today, we celebrate the moms who comfort, support, teach, sacrifice, love endlessly, and somehow still keep everything moving forward even on the hardest days. Thank you for all the invisible work, the sleepless nights, the packed lunches, the endless appointments, the hugs, the encouragement, and the unconditional love you give so freely.

We also want to give a special shoutout to the hardworking moms here at Yaya Smiles. Watching these women show up every day for their families and for our patients is truly inspiring. They balance work, motherhood, school events, sick days, sports practices, homework, and everything in between with so much strength and grace.

To all the moms, whether you’re raising babies, teenagers, grown children, fur babies, or are a mother figure to someone who needs one: we appreciate you more than words can say!

🚧 Road Closure Notice – Please Plan Ahead 🚧

Starting May 4, 2026, the bridge over Grassy Creek on SR 65 will be closed for approximately 105 days.

Good news: Yaya Smiles will remain open and operating as usual during construction.

Detour Directions (from River Road or I-75 North):
- Take Colony Road
- Turn right onto Eagle Point Rd
- Turn right onto Dixie Hwy / SR 65
- Continue to Yaya Smiles

Please allow extra travel time for your appointment to avoid delays.
