I swear I blinked and somehow our Moose is EIGHT. 🥹🤍

My wild, funny, adventurous, big hearted Max. The kid who keeps us laughing, keeps us moving, and has been doing absolutely everything on his own terms since day one. 😂

Looking back at these pictures gets me. The baby cheeks. The missing teeth. The adventures. The snuggles. And about a million little moments I wish I could bottle up and keep forever.

Watching you become exactly who you are is one of the greatest joys of my life.

Happy 8th birthday to our Moose. 🫎🤍 Stay wild, stay curious, and please stop growing quite so fast.

We love you more than you will ever know. ❤️

The thing about leadership is the more you learn, the more you realize there’s still so much to learn. 😂

These books have been part of my journey. Some came from ICON’s book club ICON Dental Partners , others I’ve picked up again and again because the lessons seem to hit differently with every stage of life and business.

-Unreasonable Hospitality: The Remarkable Power of Giving People More Than They Expect by Will Guidara

-Permission to be Honest: Tough Talk on Soft Skills for Providers of Care & Their Teams by JoAn Majors

-Start With Yourself: A New Vision for Work & Life by Emma Grede (My current favorite! 📚)

-The Culture Code: The Secrets of Highly Successful Groups by Daniel Coyle

-Leadership and Self-Deception: Getting Out of the Box by The Arbinger Institute

Whether you’re leading a team today or dreaming about owning a practice someday, I truly believe investing in yourself is always worth it.

And if you’d like to talk through your goals, ask questions about ownership, or simply gain another perspective, I’d be happy to chat! You can always book a complimentary call through my official website. 🤍💻

His first concert. Ed Sheeran. 🥹
I think we just made a core memory. ❤️

Over 20 years ago, I was in Boston interviewing at a few dental schools. I was only there for two nights, and Eliot flew in to meet me. ❤️

We heard this little band called The Fray was playing, so we decided to try our luck. Tickets were $10. The show was sold out. We showed up anyway, somehow scalped two tickets for $15 each and thought we had won the lottery.

I can still remember that night so clearly. The little hole in the wall Thai place next to the venue. Walking into the show. The dim lights. Eliot holding my hand and looking at me in that way you somehow never forget.

And later that night, he told me he loved me for the very first time.

He said it first. ❤️

More than 20 years later, a dental career I was only dreaming about back then, a marriage, three incredible boys, and a whole beautiful life we’ve built together… we got to see The Fray together again last night.

Same guy. Same band.
A very different life.

And ALLLLLL the feels. 🥹❤️

Turns out those $15 scalped tickets really were the lottery.

Thanks for being part of our story, The Fray. More than 20 years later, your music brought us right back to where it started. ❤️

Turns out, betting on yourself is pretty chic. 💛

Plot twist: one of the most important parts of my career happened when things were not exactly going according to plan. ⬇️

That rough patch forced me to pause, get honest about what I wanted, and rethink what came next. Sometimes the pause is where the real progress happens.

If you’re considering a similar move and could use an honest perspective, visit my website to find a time for us to chat. Sometimes talking it through is the best place to start! 💻💬
