Dr. Sonny graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering in 1992. He later pursued a career in dentistry at the University Of Missouri, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1997. Since entering the field of dentistry, he has been heavily involved in training and perfecting his art in cosmetic, implant, and sedation dentistry. He

has obtained numerous certifications in all aspects of the aforementioned fields and has provided exceptional care to his patients who require general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. Dr. Sonny puts great emphasis on his patients’ individual needs and dental aspirations, and takes great pride in ascertaining results favorable to his patients. Afshar, DDS

Dr. Fara graduated from California State University at Fullerton in 2000 with honors from the Department of Biochemistry and considered a career in the medical sciences. She volunteered at local hospitals and private practices throughout Southern California and decided a career in dentistry was her calling. She started her career in dentistry as a front office receptionist, which led to management of the practice. In the fall of 2007, Dr. Fara gave birth to her only child. Ironically, she received notification from the University of the Pacific two months later of her acceptance to the Class of 2011. After serious deliberation and soul searching, Dr. Fara found the fortitude to accept both challenges head on and complete her dental education successfully, while also raising her son with the most tender care. Dr. Fara graduated in the spring of 2011 and has been successfully practicing dentistry ever since. She has always possessed superior technical skills and, with the guidance of cosmetic seminars and residencies, she is providing transcendent dental care. We proudly serve all our clients in Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Citrus Heights, and Antelope, California. Contact us at Star Dental to schedule your appointment today and follow our Star to a perfect smile! Dr. Lachappell, DDS

Dr. Lachappell received her dental degree from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines in 1997. She earned her US license in 2007 after completing special training at UCLA and other dental programs, and now has over 19 years of experience. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento Dental District Society. Her love for dentistry blossomed during her first day in college. She enjoys the sense of accomplishment in knowing that she is helping patients and gaining their trust. Dr. Lachappell loves working with patients of all ages in every aspect of dentistry, and patients appreciate her gentle touch, aesthetic eye, and expertise in advanced procedures such as tooth extractions. She comes to work every day with a strong passion for dentistry and a determination to meet each patient’s needs. She is actively involved in her church as a Sunday School teacher, where she utilized her love of music and childcare. Dr. Lachappell sings and plays several instruments and participates heartily in her church’s charity events. She is married to a wonderful husband and partner, with whom she is raising two very active boys.
