We’ve spent a lot of time out in the community this month, and it’s been such a meaningful reminder of what happens when people come together to support one another. 💛
From sharing about The Landing at The Collective’s Lunch & Learn—where conversations around growth, connection, and navigating hard things took center stage—to joining Marissa Conway at the Non-Newlywed Game for a night full of laughter and community, April gave us so many moments to connect in ways that matter.
One especially meaningful moment was standing alongside CASA of South Central Missouri for their Justice is Served event and Child Abuse Awareness Month proclamation. We were honored to speak about The Landing and the importance of showing up for foster care youth and families, while helping shine a light on the reality that child abuse prevention is a community responsibility. It takes all of us paying attention, speaking up, and supporting the children and families around us.
We were also honored to partner with CASA again for a service project following the ceremony, packing hygiene kits and serving together in a small but impactful way. 🪥
This month also gave us the opportunity to take part in important conversations around rural philanthropy and community care, sharing more about our role in the new Rolla Public Schools early childhood center and the work Four Rivers is doing to create stronger systems of support for families in our region.
And while some of us were speaking, others were out doing the hands-on work—like supporting Kid Connect in Salem, where our team helped provide developmental screenings, resources, and support for local families.
This is what community care looks like. Showing up. Partnering well. Having hard conversations. Building stronger systems. Serving where we’re needed.
If you’ve been wanting to get involved, this is your sign. Volunteer. Donate. Share what’s happening in our community. It takes all of us.
