We focus on preventive care and minimally invasive treatments to keep little smiles happy, healthy, and excited to visit their dental home. For more serious problems, we can also provide sedation dentistry in a hospital setting.

We had so many wonderful entries, and choosing the winners was not an easy task. We created three age categories ( 5 & under, 6-9, and 10 & over) and selected our favorite from among the entries in each age group.

Thank you VERY MUCH to all who participated, and we look forward to doing it again next year. It'll be here before you know it!

✨ If you have been waiting for a "no school day" to schedule your kiddo(s) for their next dental appointment, reach out to our office with a call or text, and we should be able to accommodate you sometime this week. Our office is OPEN and we are operating on a normal schedule. ✨

🌨 Our office is closed on Monday, January 26th due to inclement weather.

❄ We are planning to resume patient care starting in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 27th, but we will contact everyone who is currently scheduled to determine how to best proceed.

❄ Whether we can successfully and safely make it back into the office depends on how quickly our neighborhood roads get cleared, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

⛄ We hope everyone is staying safe, warm, and maybe even having some fun in the snow?

☀ Here to attend the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's Annual Session conference, the team made sure to also make time to enjoy the gorgeous landscapes just outside of Denver. ☀

Dr. Ball and previous Shady Grove Pediatric Dentistry teammate Kayla (former pediatric dental hygienist) paired up at this morning to learn some self-defense strategies. 💪🏽They practiced multiple essential moves in how to release from grips and break free from various physical assault scenarios. 👊 How did they find out about this program?

🥋 Both of these moms bring their kiddos to this wonderful martial arts studio in Gaithersburg and have watched their children learn how to train their bodies and brains to build strength and confidence💪🏽🧠.

💎 The women and children's class instructor Marcia (a black belt in BJJ herself) is truly a gem!

🎨 We have chosen this year's winners of the Children's Dental Health month COLORING CONTEST. 🖍 Thank you to all who participated! We received dozens of wonderful entries and enjoyed every single one. To make it fair, we divided all entries into age groups, as follows:

A) >10 years old
B) 8-10 years old
C) 5-7 years old
D) 4 and under

We chose a favorite for each category, and we chose 4 team members to present the artwork. Look closely... do you see your child's entry?

💕 Happy Valentine's Day from these sweethearts we got to hang out with today. In addition to their goody-bag containing a new toothbrush and toothpaste, their sugar-free lollipop treat from 🍭, and their reward from our prize cart, each of our little friends also received a 🌹rose to hand over to their beloved parents who brought them for their dental appointment today. So much love and so many big smiles today! 😍💟
