A tiny black “dot” on your tooth may look harmless and insignificant…but they should never be disregarded based off looks.
What may look like stain on the surface, can sometimes hide a much bigger problem. Once tooth decay breaks the enamel, it spreads quickly and wide inside the underlying layers. Early detection can help prevent a small problem from becoming bigger.
Don’t wait for pain to tell you something is wrong, usually by then the decay has reached much further inside the tooth and has or is really close to reaching the nerve. Having routine checkups is imperative to maintaining a healthy mouth.
