Dear Patients of Jackson Pediatric Dentistry,
The safety of our patients, their families, and our staff is a top priority at Jackson Pediatric Dentistry. In order to protect the health of our patients and staff, we will be implementing a screening for all patients at check-in. If you can answer yes to any questions below, we kindly ask that you reschedule your child’s appointment.
Has your child had a fever within the past 14 days?
Has your child experienced a recent onset of respiratory problems, such as a cough or difficulty in breathing within the past 14 days?
Has any family member, within the past 14 days, traveled to an area with documented COVID-19 transmission?
Has any family member come into contact with a patient with confirmed COVID-19 infection?
Please take your child’s and the adult accompanying your child’s temperature prior to coming in to the office. If your child or their accompanying adult has a fever of 100 or greater or shows symptoms of an upper respiratory infection, please call and we will reschedule their appointment.
As always, we will continue to do our strict sterilization and infection control protocols. We will also be disinfecting door handles and hard surfaces at least hourly throughout the day.
Per the ADA, the Coronavirus is vulnerable to oxidation; therefore, we will be having patients use a peroxide rinse at the beginning of their visit.
We will continue to monitor this situation very carefully and follow guidance from the World Health Organization and other health authorities. We will keep you informed of any additional changes to our normal schedule or procedures. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach us at 803-548-2333.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephanie
