💕 A Special Announcement from Lang Dental Group! 💕

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of the newest member of the Lang Dental Group family, Rose Mae Lang, born October 6, 2026!

After a long journey to grow our family, we were incredibly blessed to welcome Rose through the generosity and love of our wonderful surrogate, Shelly. We are forever grateful to her for helping make our dream of becoming a family of four a reality!

One of the many blessings of owning a family practice is having the ability to approach maternity and paternity leave a little differently. Rather than taking a traditional leave, we will be embracing a unique and flexible schedule that allows us to spend precious time with Rose while continuing to care for our wonderful patients. While we hope to keep things running as smoothly as possible, there may be times when appointments or schedules need to be adjusted. We sincerely appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we navigate this exciting new chapter!

Thank you to our amazing patients and team for your continued love and support!

With gratitude,
Drs. Greg & Jessica Lang 💕

Such a fun afternoon with our Lang Dental Group crew! 🍪🦷🤎 We traded in our instruments for icing bags and had the best team-bonding lunch and cookie decorating class with Jenn’s Cookie Creations.

Greg and I feel incredibly lucky to work alongside this group of absolutely amazing women every day. They’re strong, fearless, kind, down-to-earth, and the kind of people you genuinely want in your corner. We not only respect the work they do, but feel so fortunate to have them in our lives—and even more grateful for the care, compassion, and positivity they bring to our patients every single day.

And yes… Greg was there too. He came for the lunch, but apparently drew the line at cookie decorating. 😂

So grateful for this team and the laughs, friendships, and memories we get to make together—inside and outside the office. ❤️

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
🎄PLEASE READ FOR IMPORTANT UPDATES!

As we look ahead to 2026, we wanted to share a few important updates with you.
Unfortunately, our newest hygienist, Jessica, will be pursuing another career opportunity; her last day with us will be December 30, 2025. We are actively searching for the perfect replacement to fill her shoes. During this transition, if you are scheduled with Jessica in the coming weeks, our team may reach out to you to reschedule your appointment. We truly appreciate your patience as we work to find someone who aligns with the culture, values, and high standards of our practice. While we are eager to fill the position, we are committed to finding the right fit rather than rushing the process.
Additionally, Greg and I have come to realize just how quickly our daughter is growing. She will be turning 7 in May, and over the past year we’ve recognized that our evening hours have caused us to miss some precious moments of her childhood. Because of this, beginning August 2026, we will no longer be offering evening appointments. Our updated office hours will be Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We understand this change may be a slight inconvenience for some, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding. We hope you can see that adjusting your schedule for cleanings twice a year is a smaller sacrifice than missing out on important family moments, like bedtime routines, multiple times each week.
We are so grateful for each of you and hope you get to enjoy all the special moments this holiday season brings. We look forward to seeing you in 2026!
Warmly,
Drs. Jessica and Greg Lang

It is with mixed emotions that we announce, after 33 years of service, Marianne has retired! She has been an integral part of the continued success of this practice, and there is no question she will be truly missed.
While saying goodbye to an era, we are embracing the future, and welcoming our new hygienist, Jessica H. to our dental family. Jessica comes to us with vast experience and knowledge, with the added touch of being a kind and gentle soul. Please help us in welcoming her with open arms.

One of my sweet little patients today reminded me that it’s been too long since Abilene and I shared our current brushing routine. Excuse the wet hair and no makeup, but hey, it’s bedtime!!
At some point, I will also upload a tips and tricks printout for brushing toddler teeth.

Many times a parent walks into the room with their kiddo for their cleaning and you can instantly see uncertain looks on both their faces.
The parent has worries that their child won’t sit still, or that they won’t open, or that they’ll be loud or cry.
The child has concerns because they don’t know what to expect.
The first few visits for your child, it’s all about building a foundation of trust and understanding that this is a fun place to come to every 6 months.
We brush Mr. Ralphie‘s teeth, we educate about dental health, we brush and count teeth, and at the end we paint on fluoride. Sometimes the child is fearful of sitting or laying back in the dental chair. No problem, we’ll work with what we can get, we’ll brush teeth with them standing up, or sitting in mom/dad’s lap. Eventually, like little Lucca here, they start to get more comfortable. The first time he sat in Dad’s lap, there were some tears, but he did great. This time around he hopped in the chair but wasn’t quite ready to sit back in the chair, no problem, and guess what, no tears and all smiles. I can guarantee next time he’ll hop right in the chair and lay back. It’s all a process and we understand it takes time for them to trust us, and when that trust is found, it sure makes us feel good!
The American Dental Association recommends making your child’s first dental appointment 6 months after their first tooth appears! Make an appointment today with Mr. Ralphie and Dr. Jess so we can start gaining your little one’s trust.

February is children’s dental health month 👶🏽🦷👶🏻 Here’s some tips for your little one’s teeth:
🌟Start brushing the gums even before the first tooth appears, this gets him/her used to the sensation.
🌟Once the first tooth appears (usually around 6 months), start the routine of brushing morning and night with a grain size amount of fluoride toothpaste. They will swallow it, that’s ok!
🌟 Dr. Jess actually recommends brushing their teeth while they are laying down, it’s easier to see and easier to get in there when they start really wiggling around.
🌟See a dentist for their first check up at age 1 - the sooner they start the process, the more desensitized they will become to having a dentist check their teeth. At Lang Dental Group we make it a fun experience so kiddos look forward to coming to see Dr. Jess and Ralphie the alligator.
🌟Kids can start using fluoride mouth rinse when they can spit successfully - usually around age 4.
🌟Thumb sucking or pacifiers should be stopped around age 3 to prevent issues with permanent adult teeth!
🌟Tooth brushing can feel like a chore, but make it fun, and remember persistence with these little ones is key! Try fun smart phone apps that can be downloaded that may spark some interest or new tooth brushes and tooth paste can also help.
