Yes it is true 😃 I have decided to retire from my practice at Perio Health Partners. I would like to introduce you to the new owner periodontist and implant surgeon. Dr. Josue Padilla and I have met several times over the past few months and we have discovered that we have very similar approaches to our patients’ well being. The overall health of our patients is essential in how it affects oral and gingival health. Please welcome Dr. Padilla as the new owner. Our team: Natasa, Alessio, Reda, Gloria, Kayla and Rosalie with me for many years will be staying with Dr. Padilla and the transition will be seamless! They are all looking forward to seeing you again at the office. I know they will take great care of all our current and future patients. 💕🙏🏻

Friends: We are very safe here at Perio Health Partners because we are serious about screening and testing for covid and we have taken serious steps to keep us all safe and healthy.

Untreated Periodontal disease puts you at risk for more severe covid-19 risk and symptoms. Please take care of yourselves 💕

A national report co-written by a UAB dentist found that dentists who were assumed to be at increased risk of COVID exposure had a less than 1 percent infection rate of COVID-19.

🌟Just putting this reminder out there for anyone who has medical 🏥 and dental 🦷 needs (other than emergent) Please have patience with your healthcare providers as it is sometimes impossible to fathom what a day looks like in a private office or hospital for that matter ....we have had to hire two more people in our office just to handle all the Covid questions and precautions so we can keep our office safe for patients and our team members and families. In the not too distant past we had a patient who came back from New Zealand (it was not an emergent issue) and she refused to do the 14 day quarantine before coming in to see us so naturally we did not allow her in the office and she has decided to go somewhere else. It also takes more time to see patients safely as we continue to maintain social distance in our office. 
Safety matters everyone 👍🏻 thank you for your patience. We are always here for you. 🙏🏻💕

Does put people at risk for ?
I believe the answer is a definitive yes.! Bacteria found around your teeth is associated with periodontal disease and can play a part in colonizing your lungs and setting the stage for pneumonia. So in this time of maintain good home care and and at least 2-3 times a day. Your and will need to see you as soon as this is over

Shift your focus from fear to gratitude 🙏🏻💕 we will get through this ... turn off the news for a little while... take a deep breathe... get outside .... call your loved ones... try to eat well.... these approaches will give your immune system a boost. Fear causes our immune system to decrease effectiveness.

PUBLIC HEALTH ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CORONAVIRUS 2019 (COVID-19)
Tuesday 3/31/20

Dear Patient:
This is a difficult time for everyone however we want you to know that we are here for you. At the heart of Perio Health Partners is a commitment to be available for our patients when they need us. We have always delivered on that promise by remaining true to our mission of “restoring wellness”. Today I want you to know that our Team has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to provide you a safe and healthy environment over and above the recommended CDC protocols. When you return to our practice in a few short weeks we will welcome you back to an updated office environment with new medical grade air filtration systems in each operatory, and our team will be wearing masks, gloves and protective face masks to provide safety above and beyond universal precautions. We are fully prepared to provide you peace of mind in your choice of a Periodontal office now and in the future.

We have been monitoring this situation for at least 8 weeks and have been calling patients ahead of schedule to ask if they have:
-Developed a new fever, cough or shortness of breath in the last 30 days
-Been on a plane or have had known contact with any person confirmed or suspected to be infected with the corona virus.
So far we have no reported cases!

We have also taken a series of steps to further safeguard your health and safety:
-Patients will wait in their cars for their appointment and we will come out to
greet, take an air temperature and give you a mask and gloves, we will then bring
you into the office at your designated appointment time.
-In the future: a quick 15 min covid-19 test is going to be released and we will use it to determine if we can proceed
-We will mail you any insurance, billing information or receipts
-Payment will be in the form of credit cards, checks and cash

In the effort to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in our community, Perio Health Partners has been in the process of rescheduling all NON-EMERGENCY dental care for our patients until Monday April 13, 2020. We will confirm with you a week in advance if that time frame needs to be extended to the end of April. If you are a patient of record and you believe that you are experiencing a true dental emergency prior to April 13th, please call (585) 376-5300 to speak with Natasa and she will contact me to meet you in the office. If you have friends or relatives that need emergency dental care we can accomodate them. We do this to help our community so we can keep non-covid patients out of the hospital and emergency rooms so our health care workers can concentrate on the critically ill.

There is nothing more important than the health and safety of those we care about and love. Together we will get through this.

We love our patients and want you to be healthy so because of the -19 issue we are closing our office for any non-essential patient treatment for weeks starting Monday 3/16/20 and possibly more.
