One moment, the kids we cradle are so young, and the next, they’re teenagers running off on a big adventure. But somewhere in between all that growth and character development, they go through the process of losing their baby teeth so they can grow permanent ones in their place.

Prepping for a first visit from the Tooth Fairy? A pediatric dentist shares when most kids start losing teeth and in what order.

🦷 Brushing and flossing are key to preventing cavities — but those back teeth (molars) can be tough to keep clean!

With their deep grooves and uneven surfaces, molars are a common spot where food and cavity-causing bacteria like to hide 👀

That’s where dental sealants come in ✨

Sealants are a thin, protective coating placed on the chewing surfaces of back teeth to help keep them clean and protected — especially for kids as their adult molars come in.

It’s a simple step that can make a big difference in preventing cavities 💙

Dental sealants act as a barrier, protecting enamel from plaque and acids.
