A root canal may be recommended when the inside of a tooth becomes inflamed or infected. Some signs to pay attention to include:

• Lingering sensitivity to hot or cold
• Pain when biting or chewing
• Swelling or tenderness around a tooth
• A chipped or cracked tooth
• Persistent tooth pain

Staff Spotlight: Meet Kathryn!

Kathryn is a Dental Assistant at Blue Ridge Endodontics and has been part of the team for 12 years. Her day includes assisting with patient evaluations for the doctors, helping prepare treatment rooms between patients, and managing the sterilization area to keep everything running efficiently.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Kathryn shared, “My co-workers. I’ve been working with some of them for so long, they’re like family.”

Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys reading, exercising, playing golf, cooking, and spending time with her family. A fun fact about Kathryn: she’s been to Hawaii nine times! 🌺🦷

We appreciate Kathryn’s experience, teamwork, and dedication to providing outstanding care to our patients every day.
