Another complex case well done!

The patient was referred from West Virginia by his general dentist for having all of his teeth removed for dentures as the patient had cavities on most of his teeth.

After taking a thorough history we found that his cavities were caused by failing old restorations and a candy sucking habit.

I told the patient that if he gives up his hard candies and we cover all of the large old failing restorations we could save his all of his teeth.

In the end for the sake of cost the patient ended up going with an upper bar over denture (the safest and longest lasting type of snap on denture) and a traditional crowns on all of his lower teeth.

The artistry and precision needed to make the two line and match perfectly are what’s at display here.

It was an honor to take lead on this complex case. A sweet 45 yo female lost her teeth to side effects from gastric bypass surgery. She suffered for years from poorly made dentures as she was told she had no bone for implants

Regaining your confidence to go out in public and eat the foods you want are invaluable.

This case required the placement of 28 crowns at a very precise position to naturally recreate what the patient once had.

Full mouth rehabilitation takes expert knowledge of recreating natural form and requires years of experience and education beyond what most dentists are taught.

This was a 4 year rehabilitation in the making.

The young female underwent orthodontics with Dr Evan Johnson Johnson Orthodontics and periodontal/ implant therapy with Dr Priya Acharya at Priya Acharya DDS

The before photo is how she presented to me after ortho and perio care were complete.

As you can see the patient has significant bone and gum loss, however the patient wanted to keep all of her remaining teeth because she was in her 40s.

The secret here wasn’t how the teeth look, but how the gingiva were coached and shaped by me to fill the spaces in a natural and attractive manner. This takes extinsive experience and an artistic eye.

The patient was elated by her final result!

Would you believe it if we told you this patient was wearing an upper and lower denture.
