Celebrated every year on January 26, Dental Drill Appreciation Day honors the invention of the electric dental drill in 1875!

They may sound loud, and be a cause for dental anxiety, but they have come a long way! The modern electric dental drill has less vibration which leads to a more comfortable experience.

FUN FACT! Did you know early dental drills used in the 1800's were actually foot powered? Imagine Dr. Charland Pedaling mid-filling! HAHA
