Dear Lisa,
After 22 1/2 years at RVA Dental Care, somehow the day has finally come for us to say goodbye!
At your retirement party, we decided the only appropriate way to celebrate more than two decades together was to roast you. And after 22 1/2 years, there was plenty of material. 😂
We could talk about the fact that you keep the office approximately three degrees above freezing, your legendary competitiveness, whether it’s BINGO, a quiz about babies, or literally anything that has a winner. We could mention your shoe addiction, your very specific lineup of celebrity crushes, the occasional colorful language heard from down the hallway, or the fact that underneath that sweet exterior lives one of the biggest little spitfires we’ve ever known. But beneath every joke we made at your roast was something much bigger, 22 1/2 years of memories with someone who became part of the heart of RVA Dental Care.
Lisa, you have a way with patients that simply can’t be taught. You remember them. You talk with them. You make them laugh. You make them feel comfortable and cared for. And they absolutely adore you. So many people have walked through our doors over the years and left feeling like they had a friend here because of you. And that’s exactly who you’ve been to all of us, too.
You may be tiny, but your personality filled this office. You’re funny, feisty, hardworking, fiercely loyal, incredibly kind, and unapologetically Lisa. You’ve made us laugh until we cried, kept us on our toes, told us exactly what you were thinking (whether we asked or not).
Now it’s finally time for you to enjoy the things that matter most. We hope retirement means lots and lots of time with your grandchildren, making memories and soaking up every moment with them. We hope it means more time for your pets, your hobbies, a little too much shoe shopping, and absolutely no one touching the thermostat.
We love you, Lisa. We are so happy for you, so proud to have worked beside you, and we are going to miss you more than you know. Happy Retirement, Lisa! You have more than earned it. 🩵🫶
