Our pediatric dentists and orthodontists enjoy empowering their patients, from infancy to teenage/adult years, and encouraging them to learn and establish long-term, healthy behaviors. After your baby’s first birthday, our pediatric dentists will help your family navigate the world of going to the dentist for the first time. We will then teach your child that going to the dentist does not need to be a fear-filled, nerve-racking experience, but instead a learning, joy-filled, and rewarding visit. By the time your child is ready for braces, our dentists will have already been in conversation with you, which will make the transition smooth, and patient-focused, and minimize the time your child will spend in braces. Another perk: Our orthodontists spend much of their time treating adults (parents!) as well as children, making it even more convenient for families. We recognize your family time is valuable and we hope to make your decision of where to take your child an easy, stress-free, and exceptional experience. ❓ When do kids start losing teeth? For most children, the first wiggly tooth shows up around age 6, though anywhere from 5 to 7 is right on track. We’ve even seen healthy kids with wiggly teeth as early as 4, so if you’re wondering whether 5 is too early for a loose tooth, it usually isn’t... some kids are just early bloomers!
🦷 What age do kids lose teeth in what order? A baby teeth falling out chart usually follows the same pattern the teeth came in. The bottom front teeth tend to go first, then the top front teeth, while the back molars and canines often stay put until somewhere between ages 10 and 12.
📅 Every smile has its own timeline, and that’s part of the fun! Is it normal for a 7 year old to still have baby teeth? Absolutely, since most of them are still in place at that age. If your child loses teeth before age 4, or reaches 11-12 with all of their baby teeth still in, we’re always happy to take a peek and see what’s happening underneath. Age 7 is also a great time for a first orthodontic check, so the wiggly tooth stage lines up perfectly.
🧚 As tempting as it is to help things along, it’s best to let a loose tooth come out on its own. A tooth that’s ready will usually fall out with very little fuss, and letting it happen naturally keeps the experience easy and comfortable for your little one.

Braces Transformation Tuesday! Meet Zoe ✨

Can clear aligners widen the palate without an expander? Leo's smile says yes! 💙
✨ Transformation Tuesday | Meet Leo
😁 Leo came to us with narrow arches, a gap between his front teeth (called a diastema), and a crossbite on one of his upper front teeth. Instead of a palate expander, we used clear aligners to gently widen his arches and create the space his smile needed.

Can clear aligners really fix a deep bite? Ava's new smile says yes! 💙
😁 Ava came to us with a deep bite and a front tooth that was coming in out of position. Clear aligners for teens aren't just about a more discreet look… they can correct real bite issues, too.
