❓ FAQ: Can Cavities Heal on Their Own?
The short answer: No.
Once a cavity has created a hole in your tooth, it won't heal by itself and will typically continue to grow without treatment.
However, very early tooth decay, before a cavity forms, can sometimes be reversed with:
✔️ Good brushing and flossing habits
✔️ Fluoride treatments
✔️ A healthy diet low in sugary snacks and drinks
✔️ Regular dental checkups
That's why routine exams are so important. Catching decay early can help prevent the need for fillings and more extensive treatment later on.
