El v***reo a menudo se considera una alternativa más segura a fumar, pero una nueva investigación dental revela que puede afectar gravemente la salud bucal. Los científicos de la Escuela de Medicina Dental de la Universidad Tufts encontraron que los líquidos electrónicos y los aerosoles químicos en los v**es pueden pegarse a los dientes, alimentando bacterias que producen ácido y debilitan gradualmente el esmalte.

Los dentistas están notando un patrón distinto llamado "v**e caries", donde superficies de dientes lisas desarrollan una rápida avería del esmalte. With the increase of GLP-1 patients, it is very important to address the oral symptoms and side effects of the medication to prevent dental issues. Patients who have taken this medication may deal with severe dry mouth, nausea and vomiting and an increase of stomach acid. It is very important to let your dental provider know if you are taking these medications.

Patients have reported dental issues like tooth decay and dry mouth after taking GLP-1s like Ozempic for weight loss, though no scientific evidence confirms this connection.
