👏 Amazing Phase I outcome!!

We often get questions about Phase I treatment and why we prefer seeing patients for their first orthodontic visit at an early age.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends seeing an orthodontist as early as age 7, and we follow that same guidance! That doesn’t mean every child needs Phase I treatment, but an early evaluation allows us to:

• Detect early issues and treat them when needed.
• Prevent more significant problems later that may require more extensive treatment and longer treatment times.
• Create increased arch width and better alignment to improve the successful eruption of permanent teeth into their proper positions, bone, and tissue (as shown in this case).

Looking at the photos, notice the difference in the amount of space available for the upper and lower canines to eventually erupt! 🦷 This patient is now on a path toward a decreased risk of teeth erupting in positions that could lead to gingival recession and poor gingival attachment. Early treatment also increases the likelihood of a non-extraction treatment plan when she’s older.

Because of the work completed during Phase I, Phase II treatment will also likely be much shorter and simpler. 🙌🏼

🚨Winter Contest Winner Announcement!🚨

We had some incredible snowflakes made in the office the past few months. We just wish we had as much snow outside as we had inside the office!!

Congrats to Mackenna Buchanan on winning the Snowflake Building Contest and on winning a new pair of AirPods Pro 3’s!

The winner was picked at random as all the snowflakes were compiled in one large pile! Next year we might have to have a “Most Creative” category because we had some incredible submissions!

After more than 25 years of loyalty, leadership, and exceptional customer service, we want to express our deepest appreciation to our incredible Office Manager, Michele, as she starts her next chapter.

She helped build this practice to where we are today with grace and unwavering dedication. Your kindness, steady presence, and ability to hold everything together have shaped not just our office, but every person who has worked alongside you.

Your influence will continue to be felt in the way we care for our patients, and support each other. You’ll always be a meaningful part of this team’s story.

Here’s to your next chapter—may it bring you the same joy, respect, and warmth that you’ve shared with all of us. ❤️💙✨
