He moved his dental practice to our current location, 34 Shirley Avenue, in 1962. Dr. Norman also started practicing at 29 Commonwealth Avenue in 1947, in the same office space where we still see patients today (on Wednesdays and Thursdays). In the 1940s and 1950s, Dr. Norman was known as a βjazz dentist,β and his patients included jazz greats such as Louis Armstrong, Jack Teagarden, Bobby Hackett
and Buck Clayton. Dr. Norman Becker practiced with another dentist until his son, Dr. David Belf Becker, joined him in 1976. They practiced as Becker & Becker until they invited Dr. Charles Silvius to join them in 1991. Dr. Silvius had had his own practice in Revere since 1975. The partnership of Becker, Becker & Silvius was formed in 1992. They were joined in 2005 by Dr. Todd Belfbecker, who is the son of Dr. David and the grandson of Dr. Norman. Dr. David Becker and Dr. Silvius retired in 2020.
