The doors are open!

Today, the City was proud to join community partners and residents in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the new Republic Branch Library, a space thoughtfully designed for connection, learning, and gathering. As proclaimed by Mayor Eric Franklin, next Tuesday, June 2nd, is officially “Dr. Matt Pearce Day!"

This recognition honors Dr. Pearce’s upcoming retirement after 30 years in education and the lasting impact he’s made on students, staff, and the entire community. The date, 6/2, also gives a nod to his longtime Tiger spirit and Mizzou football jersey number, 62.

The Republic School District is inviting the community to join in the “Pearce Protocol” to celebrate his legacy:

🧡 The Tiger Look – Wear Republic orange and black
❤️ The Pearce Pace – Get "30 minutes of movement" in honor of Dr. Pearce’s 30 years in education and his commitment to heart health through the American Heart Association.
💚 The Pearce Promise – Give back through an act of kindness, service or generosity in honor of Dr. Pearce’s servant leadership and dedication to Care to Learn Republic.

If you’d like to honor Dr. Pearce with a donation, you can support causes close to his heart:
American Heart Association: https://www.heart.org/en/affiliates/missouri?form=FUNRXMVUUDL

Care to Learn Republic: https://form-renderer-app.donorperfect.io/give/care-to-learn/republic-donation-form

Join us on the 2nd in celebrating a leader whose impact on RepMO will be felt for generations!

In observance of Memorial Day, City offices will be closed today, May 25.
Today we remember and honor those who gave everything. Memorial Day is a time to honor the service members who never made it home, recognize the sacrifice carried by their families, and hold gratitude for the freedoms their courage helped protect. May we never forget their legacy. 🇺🇸
