Severe crowding may force permanent teeth erupt into traumatic positions. Phase I orthodontic treatment with a palatal expander and clear aligners created adequate spaces for erupting permanent teeth and eliminate trauma risks. It sets up a good foundation for a healthy bite and good alignment in permanent dentition.
