This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave service members who gave their lives protecting others and serving our country. We also recognize the families who carry that sacrifice every day.

Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice continue to inspire us, and their legacy will never be forgotten. From all of us at Spectrum P and O, we wish our community a meaningful Memorial Day.

On this Memorial Day...

Today we take a moment to remember the men and women who sacrificed so the rest of us could live the lives we love.

Some gave a little. Some gave a lot. Some gave everything.

Thank you, from all of us at PROTEOR USA.

On April 29, 2006, he was severely injured by an IED in Iraq — an injury that resulted in amputation, limb salvage, PTSD, and TBI. Rather than stepping back, Matthew has spent the years since advocating fiercely for veterans, earning recognition as a Purple Heart Ambassador, PTSD and su***de awareness speaker, and a voice that reached all the way to the New York Times.Thank you for your service and sacrifice, Sgt. Pennington.

May the 4th be with you.

This video was film 10 min away from the office. We love where we live and if your joints are making more noise than R2-D2… it might be time to come see us.

As Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month comes to a close, we had the opportunity to take action.

On April 21, we joined advocates from across California in Sacramento for Lobby Day with COPA. Patients, families, and providers met with lawmakers to share what access to orthotic and prosthetic care really means—for independence, work, and quality of life.

We also talked about gaps in insurance and the goal of the So Every BODY Can Move movement (SEBCM). Lawmakers showed real interest and want to keep the conversation going.

Even in the rain, the energy was strong. People connected, shared stories, and built momentum.

Awareness is important. Action makes change.

April marks Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month (LLDAM).

Across the country, people are coming together to raise awareness and support those living with limb loss and limb difference. Here in Redding, we lit the Sundial Bridge orange as part of that effort.

We’re so sorry, but we’ll be canceling this Saturday’s Amputee Awareness Walk due to weather.

We were really looking forward to connecting with everyone. The Sundial Bridge will still be lit orange Fri & Sat for Limb Loss Awareness Month 🧡

We love seeing books that reflect the experiences of our community. This reading list includes stories about limb loss, limb difference, and mobility differences. Take a look below.

It’s Read Across America Day!

Stories help students explore new perspectives, build empathy, and understand how sport can create confidence and community.

These titles can be used for read-alouds, book clubs, or independent classroom activities.

Some of the most meaningful moments in our community happen outside the clinic.

Our 4th Annual Amputee Awareness Walk is one of those days — a chance to connect, share stories, encourage one another, and simply spend time with people who understand the journey. It’s not about distance or pace. It’s about showing up and walking together.

🗓 Saturday, April 11, 2026
⏰ 9:30 AM
📍 Sundial Bridge — Redding

If you’ve joined us before, you know how special this morning is. If you haven’t, we’d love to have you be part of it.

We’re proud of our resident, Caleb, who recently traveled to the Philippines to help provide prosthetic care for more than 40 people with limb loss.

Each patient’s story was unique, but what they shared was the joy of taking steps toward independence again. Being part of that moment—the first steps, the return of a smile, the spark of possibility—is what makes this work so meaningful.

This trip wasn’t just about prosthetic legs. It was about giving hope, mobility, and dignity back to people’s lives.
