Meet Adalynn D. — one of the best kids in Redding. 🐻

Most parents have at least one of these thoughts before their kid's X-rays. Totally understandable. Here's what's actually true. 👇
Myth 1: "We can probably just skip X-rays this visit."
The spaces between baby teeth are too tight to see or probe. Decay forms there first — and by the time it's visible, it's already larger. So is the filling.
Myth 2: "X-rays expose my child to too much radiation."
We take 4 X-rays. A typical family dentist takes 16. Our full set delivers less radiation than 20 minutes of outdoor play in the California sun. We use digital X-rays and lead aprons — and we follow the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines on when they're actually needed.
Myth 3: "X-rays just confirm what you can already see."
Not even close. X-rays show us permanent teeth forming under the gums — years before they erupt. That's how we catch crowding, impacted teeth, and early bone issues while there's still time to do something about them.
We take the minimum needed. We explain every one. And we never take them just to take them.
