Starting in early April we will be welcoming a new dentist to the Hampshire Family Dental Team who will be taking over Thursdays for Dr. Carreon.

Introducing Dr. Melissa Newman! Melissa Newman is an Operative Clinical Instructor in the Comprehensive Care Department at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she is dedicated to helping students strengthen their operative skills, clinical judgment, and patient centered care. A 2008 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, she was honored with the Pauline Fuller Persons Scholarship in 2007 and the Altshuler Family Ethics Prize in 2008 for her excellence in professionalism and ethical practice. In 2025, she earned her MAGD (Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry), the AGD’s highest honor, awarded to dentists who complete at least 1,100 hours of rigorous continuing education — including extensive hands-on training across multiple disciplines — demonstrating an exceptional, career long commitment to advanced clinical education and high-quality patient care. Originally from Upstate New York, Melissa now lives in southern New Hampshire with her husband and their Shetland Sheepdogs.
