This week we had the pleasure of celebrating our amazing Dental Assistants for Dental Assistant Appreciation Week! 🦷✨

Our assistants are truly the backbone of our office. From helping our patients feel comfortable, to assisting our doctors with care, to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes — they do it all with kindness, skill, and dedication every single day.

We are so grateful for the hard work, compassion, and positivity they bring to our team and to our patients. Our office simply wouldn’t be the same without them!

We had the best surprise this yesterday morning! ☕✨

A huge thank you to Liberty Oral Surgery for sending the Traveling Tom’s Coffee Truck to our office. It was such a thoughtful treat and the perfect way to start the day. Our whole team loved it!

We are so grateful for amazing partners in the community who go out of their way to spread a little kindness (and caffeine!).

🎄✨ The holidays at Lakeland Family Dental are all about smiles, celebration, and community! From a special visit with Santa to celebrating together at our Christmas party, we’re so grateful for an incredible year and excited for what’s ahead. With many exciting changes—including new ownership under Daniel Whitesitt and welcoming our new dentist, Dr. Jenna Keddish—we’re ready to head into the new year with gratitude, growth, and plenty of smiles. We are excited to introduce Dr. Kedish to our team!

Born in Coeur d’Alene and raised on the Post Falls/Rathdrum prairie, Dr. Kedish is a true North Idaho native. She attended Lakeland High School where she met her husband, Brendon, who is also a Lakeland graduate.

She went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Idaho. With the knowledge and experience she gained, she was accepted into the Idaho Dental Education Program for Idaho’s top prospective dental students alongside Dr. Daniel Whitesitt. She went on to graduate with honors from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE and expanded her knowledge of complex cases with a general dentistry residency in Meridian, ID. She and her husband are excited to come back home to the Rathdrum community at Lakeland Family Dental.

While not at work, you can find Dr. Kedish and her husband trying to keep up with their two kiddos and the family dog. She has a natural love of baking, gardening, and family time. Most of all, she loves any blend of relationships and careful craftsmanship, making dentistry a perfect fit.

💰 Lakeland High School Wins $25K, Now Competing for $1 Million T-Mobile Stadium Makeover

Lakeland High School has been named one of just 25 finalist schools nationwide in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights program — a competition celebrating the way high school football brings entire communities together.

You can vote once per day, and every vote helps bring the Hawks closer to winning the $1 million grand prize, with winners to be announced October 30.

The Hawks have already earned a $25,000 prize to consider much-needed projects at Corbit Field, including stadium repairs, concession stand updates, improved accessibility, and replacing outdated field goal posts.

Why It Matters
Lakeland’s stadium hasn’t seen major improvements in over 35 years. Meanwhile, the student body has doubled and the surrounding community has tripled in size. This investment would not only benefit football athletes, but also:

🎶 Band members marching under the lights
🏋️ PE classes using the weight room
🏈 Youth sports programs building their foundation
🤝 Community events that unite neighbors on Friday nights

“This upgrade would breathe new life into a space that brings us all together — a space where students, families, and neighbors gather to cheer, connect, and celebrate,” said Lakeland Athletic Director Matt Neff.

The Celebration
Lakeland will be recognized during a special Friday night celebration on October 3 at Corbit Field, hosted by T-Mobile, featuring games, giveaways, and free concessions.
