Why Does America Celebrate Labor Day in September?

Labor Day began on September 5, 1882, when more than 10,000 workers marched through New York City to recognize American workers. September was chosen simply because it fell between the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving.

In 1884, the Knights of Labor made the celebration an annual event, held on the first Monday of September. Today, Labor Day honors the contributions and achievements of American workers.

We wish you a safe and relaxing weekend full of unforgettable memories!

Celebrating 10 Years of Carrie! 🎉

Today we celebrate Carrie and her incredible 10-year work anniversary at Dakota Regional Periodontics! ❤️

Carrie is so much more than our Administration team member—she is one of the kindest, most trusted, and most dependable people we could ever ask for. She continually goes above and beyond her job description, stepping in wherever she is needed and always putting DRP, our patients, and our team first.

Her loyalty to Dakota Regional Periodontics and SRVIVRS is truly profound, and we are incredibly grateful for the dedication, heart, and care she has poured into our practice over the past 10 years.

Carrie, thank you for being someone we can count on, for all the things you do behind the scenes, and for the genuine kindness you bring to our team every day. We are so blessed to have you!

Happy 10-Year Work-a-versary, Carrie! 🥂🎉
Here’s to celebrating YOU and all the years ahead! ❤️

Today we'd like to recognize a beautiful lady who made a lasting impact on our team.

Although Kathy worked remotely for many years, her kindness, compassion, and professionalism were felt every single day. She was always willing to help, always encouraging, and always represented our practice with grace, care and great professionalism.

While we certainly miss her and hearing her reassuring voice, we miss her kindness even more. She was an important part of the Dakota Regional Periodontics family, and her dedication to our patients and team will not be forgotten.

Thank you for everything you gave to our practice. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate you with your retirement party! We wish you all the happiness, relaxation, and new adventures that retirement brings. ❤️

You are greatly missed and will always be a part of the Dakota Regional Periodontics family.

Grateful for a day well spent at the Day of Excellence here in Rapid City! 🙌

There’s something special about stepping away from the day-to-day to grow together as a team—learning, connecting, and coming back stronger for our patients.

A huge thank you to the incredible local dentists who sponsor and support this event. Your commitment truly elevates our entire community and beyond.

Proud to be part of a profession that invests in excellence—not just in dentistry, but in each other. 🦷✨
