It is with the heaviest heart, yet so much gratitude, that we share the passing of Dr. Henry Zaytoun Sr., at 102 years old.
Dr. Z, Dr. Zaytoun, HZ, “Papa Henry” was many things — a Navy veteran, a proud Tar Heel, a devoted husband, a man of great faith, a voracious reader, a history buff, a businessman and orthodontist with a pension for life-long learning, the father of nine, and grandfather and great-grandfather many times over.
He founded Zaytoun Orthodontics in 1959 and for over six decades, well into his 80s, he poured his heart into this practice and this community.
His legacy is much more than just the name on the door, it’s the passion and compassion he brought to his work everyday. He set the standard for excellence in orthodontics, but more importantly he showed us all what excellence in caring for others really looks like.
He was an inspiration to so many. His legacy lives on in every patient we serve.
