We're changing our name! 💙🦷

Over the next few weeks, Galligan Family Dentistry will become Scanlan Family Dentistry, reflecting Dr. Abigail Scanlan's ownership and the next chapter for our family-run practice.

So, what does that mean for our patients?

Not much, actually. And that's exactly how we want it.

The name and logo are changing. The people caring for you are not.

Dr. Scanlan is still your dentist. The same team you've seen throughout 2026 will still greet you when you walk through the door. Your records and patient account stay right here. Our location isn't changing. And neither is our commitment to personal, thoughtful dental care.

You'll gradually see the new Scanlan Family Dentistry name appear on our building, website, social pages, emails, and other materials. When you do, don't worry. It's still us.

We're grateful for the 20 years Dr. Galligan spent building this practice and for the patients he entrusted to our care.

Now we're excited to put our family's name on the door and continue building what comes next.

New name. New logo. Same team. Same dental home. 💙

Last Wednesday marked the end of an era at Galligan Family Dentistry. After 20 years of caring for this community, Dr. Ryan Galligan saw his final patient, completed his final appointment, and officially began his retirement.

We are incredibly grateful for the practice he built, the thousands of smiles he cared for, and especially the patients he trusted us to continue caring for when he handed us the keys earlier this year.

Thank you, Dr. Galligan, for 20 years of dentistry and for giving us such a strong foundation to build upon.

His chapter is complete. Ours has just begun. 💙🦷

There is nothing quite like becoming a mom... except maybe becoming a mom for the fourth time. 💕

Baby Stella has made our family feel even more complete, and these past several weeks have been a gift we'll cherish forever.

But this chapter also marks another special moment. Dr. Abigail W. Scanlan is officially back in the office and excited to once again care for the families who have trusted her with their smiles.

The same patience, compassion, attention to detail, and love she pours into her own children are the same qualities she brings to every patient she cares for.

And yes... after four beautiful kids, she and her husband have officially agreed this one is the last. 😄

Welcome back, Dr. Scanlan. We've missed you, and we know many of our patients have too. 🩵🦷

Guess who's back?

Dr. Abigail W. Scanlan has officially returned from maternity leave and is back to caring for smiles!

After spending the past several weeks with the newest member of our family, baby Stella, she's excited to be back in the office seeing patients again.

And for those wondering... after welcoming child number four, Dr. Scanlan and her husband have officially agreed their family is complete. 😄

We're thrilled to have her back doing what she loves, caring for families throughout North Raleigh and the surrounding communities.

At 1:00 AM this morning, the Galligan Family Dentistry family grew by one very tiny new member. 💕

World, meet Stella. Stella, meet the world!
Dr. Abigail W. Scanlan welcomed her daughter early this morning and is doing well as she begins maternity leave and enjoys these first moments with her growing family.

Our patients will continue to be in excellent hands while she recovers, with Dr. Galligan and Dr. Festa helping care for the practice during her time away.

Thank you to our patients especially for all of the kindness, encouragement, and support you’ve shown our family-run practice throughout this exciting chapter.
