With 38 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Stephenson brings a wealth of knowledge and a gentle, practical approach to every patient he treats.

As a general dentist, he enjoys being able to provide a wide range of care—from orthodontics and dental implants to dentures, extractions, and more—so patients can receive as much of their care as possible right here at Colonnade Dental.

But there’s more to Dr. Stephenson than dentistry!

🍽️ Favorite Restaurant: PF Chang’s—especially because he loves family-style dining where everyone gets to sample a little of everything!

🎾 Favorite Weekend Activity: Playing tennis or anything involving the water.

🦷💙 What to Expect After a Tooth Extraction

Having a tooth removed? Knowing what’s normal during healing can make the process a little less stressful.

After an extraction, it’s common to experience:
✔️ Some soreness or tenderness
✔️ Mild swelling around the area
✔️ A small amount of bleeding or oozing
✔️ Gradual improvement over the next several days

A few healing tips:
🧊 Use a cold compress to help with swelling
🥣 Choose soft foods and avoid chewing directly on the extraction site
🚫 Avoid smoking or using straws while the area heals
🪥 Follow your dentist’s instructions for keeping your mouth clean

If pain or swelling becomes severe, bleeding won’t stop, or something doesn’t feel right, contact your dentist for guidance.
