Recovery isn’t as scary as people think, but preparation makes all the difference.
Here are 3 tips from someone who’s been through it:
1️⃣ Have a wingman.�Whether it’s a spouse, friend, or family member have someone you can talk to and lean on. Support makes the process smoother and less stressful.
2️⃣ Have a food plan ready.�There will be a short period where soft foods are your best friend. Think smoothies, soups, mashed potatoes, yogurt, eggs. Planning ahead prevents frustration.
3️⃣ Share your story.�You never know who you might inspire. So many people delay treatment out of fear your experience could give someone else the confidence to move forward.
