We have two growing baby bumps around the office right now, so we thought it was a good time to talk about pregnancy and dental health!

Pregnancy can do some interesting things to your mouth. Hormonal changes can make your gums more swollen, sensitive, or prone to bleeding, and some people notice more problems with cavities or gingivitis.

A few reminders if you're pregnant:
-Increased bleeding and sensitivity of the gums is a normal side effect.
-Keep up with your regular cleanings and checkups.
-Let us know you're pregnant if you need X-rays or treatment-2nd/3rd trimester is the preferred time to complete treatment.
-If morning sickness is making you miserable, rinse your mouth with water afterwards and give it about 30 minutes before brushing.

Taking care of your teeth is still important while you're growing a whole new person!
