Olentangy Pediatric Dentistry is happy to announce that we are re-opening today Monday May4th.
We would like to share our new safety protocols that we have in place to keep you and your little ones safe, as we move forward. We know a lot of this will be a change to you and your families, but we are committed to keeping everyone safe.
All dentists, hygienists, and assistants will have N95 masks that will be covered by a waterproof Level 3 mask. We will also be using face shields. In addition we will also check our temperatures each morning prior to opening.
Please arrive for your child’s appointment with ONE adult/legal guardian and no siblings unless the siblings have appointments too. Additional adults and siblings will be asked to stay in the car during their child’s/sibling’s appointments.
When arriving for your child’s appointment, stay in your car. Please call our office 614-433-7474 to tell us you have arrived. We will ask you about any recent fever, cough, and travel for not only your child, but anyone who lives in your house. If anyone in the house has fever, cough, or has recently traveled we will ask you to reschedule your child’s appointment. When we are ready for you, we will call you and ask you to come in.
When entering the office it is REQUIRED that you and your child wear a MASK that covers your mouth and nose.
Please enter the office on the right front door, this is new, we typically have entered and exited through the left front door.
There will be an X on the floor to stand on.
When you enter our office you will be required to have a mask on or a face covering. Please use the hand sanitizer for you and your child.
If there is paperwork to update we will give it to you at this time.
One of the OPD team members will come to the front to es**rt your child back. Prior to having you come back we will take you and your child’s temperature. Temperatures that are above 99 will be asked to reschedule. Likewise if we observe you or your child coughing or sneezing we will ask you to reschedule your appointment.
We would prefer that the parent stays in the waiting area, however we realize that sometimes that is not possible. We have a limited number of seats in the waiting area.
If the parent needs to come back please have your mask on at all times and stay in the area where the doctor and hygienist tell you to sit. If help is needed with your child, holding hands, ect. we will ask for that.
All patients will enter the treatment areas of the office on the right side and exit on the left side of the office.
Once treatment is complete we will es**rt your child to the front, go over treatment and post op instructions. If a co-pay is due or another appointment needs to be made you can do it at this time or we can call you once back in your car to do this.
When leaving the office please use the door on your right side
(opposite of the one used to enter).
We all know this is a new world we are living in and a lot has changed, but understand we are committed to your child’s oral health and keeping you and your family safe. Thank you and we can’t wait to see you.
Dr. Jeff and everyone at Olentangy Pediatric Dentistry
