Do your teeth look like this?
Have you had braces before, but your teeth have shifted back?
Have you been told your teeth are “straight” so you assumed your bite was healthy?
These photos show a patient with relatively straight teeth, but notice the gap between the upper and lower front teeth when biting together. When the front teeth don’t touch properly, much of the biting force is absorbed by the back teeth.
Over time, this can contribute to:
✔ Excessive wear
✔ Chipping or cracking
✔ Difficulty biting into foods
✔ Jaw discomfort or TMJ symptoms in some patients
Straight teeth don’t always mean a healthy bite.
At Bay Breeze Dentistry, we use CandidPro clear aligners to evaluate not only the appearance of your smile, but how your teeth function together.
