My favorite philosopher Sartre’s warning against the spirit of seriousness and the tendency to defer living for some imagined future. He spent his life arguing that existence precedes essence—that we are nothing until we act. Yet, the existentialist himself felt the sting of time passing while he waited for a moment that felt significant enough to warrant his full commitment.

The realization is chilling. We often treat our potential as a resource to be hoarded rather than spent. We wait for the perfect career, the perfect partner, or the perfect version of ourselves before we finally bite into life. Sartre reminds us that while we are busy preparing to live, the very tools we need to experience the world are decaying.

Don't let your teeth rot while you wait for the feast.

How much of your life are you currently keeping in reserve?

Frenectomy:

Our patient referred to it as "Life changing".

A lingual frenectomy can enhance tongue mobility, improve speech clarity (in certain cases), promote better oral hygiene, and alleviate issues related to gums, breastfeeding, and feeding.

By releasing the frenulum, the tongue gains the ability to lift higher, extend further, and move more freely, which aids in feeding, swallowing, maneuvering food in the mouth, chewing, reduces gagging, and enhances overall oral function. This also makes tooth cleaning easier, lowers the risk of plaque accumulation and gum disease, and the decreased tension helps prevent gum recession. For those who wear dentures, a tight frenulum may lead to discomfort or improper fit. A frenectomy can enhance both comfort and stability.

Laser frenectomy is a straightforward procedure that minimizes discomfort, pain, bleeding, scar tissue, and recovery time.

Post-frenectomy, tongue exercises are essential for reprogramming its function. If a tight frenum leads to speech challenges, collaborating with a speech therapist can significantly improve results.

Your mouth serves as one of the largest indicators of your overall health. If gum disease or chronic inflammation occurs, it doesn't remain confined to your mouth—it can affect other areas of the body. By taking care of your mouth, you are also promoting your body's overall well-being.

Dental care is a two-way street. I can help diagnose and treat issues, but you also need to take care of your teeth. Once you understand why certain habits matter and how your oral health affects your overall well-being, it becomes much easier to stay healthy. That’s why sharing dental knowledge with you is a big part of my job, so feel free to ask me anything.

I like to share some basics here, and they’re available at the clinic. When you know what’s happening in your mouth, what causes cavities, and why your gums might bleed, you’re better equipped to prevent problems before they start. You can spot early warning signs, make smart choices, and feel more in control of your dental health. My goal is to make dentistry feel simple, approachable, and empowering, so you can keep your smile in great shape.

We enrolled in a CE course with Kaley to stay updated on digital dentistry.

After assessing dental applications and listening to our patients' needs, we made the decision to add new treatments to our clinic.

ProMonitoring Aligners: These aligners are very effective and straightforward in tackling orthodontic problems like crowding, overbite, arch shape, and narrow arch. Frequently, the root causes of abfraction, abrasion, dental trauma, recession, TMJ issues, and sleep apnea are associated with limited horizontal space in the molar area. They deliver three times the force with fewer complications compared to other options, shorten the treatment time, and their polarized material makes them less visible. Additionally, they can help maintain implant space by incorporating prosthetic teeth and hiding the area of a missing tooth. Our patients can monitor their progress through an app.

Zirconia Bridges: As a digital clinic for same-day crowns, we are looking to expand our services to include same-day bridges.

Mouthguard for athletes: This is an electronic device created for athletes to track their performance, movement, impact, and heart rate during training and competitions. The next version of this mouthguard may also evaluate sleep quality and identify chemical changes in saliva.

These will be available soon. Furthermore, we are also exploring sleep apnea devices and an implant system for the future. All these applications will be integrated into one system for a smooth workflow and comprehensive solutions. If you would like more details, please don’t hesitate to ask during your next visit.
