This question seems to bubble up a lot.
Seltzer isn't necessarily bad for your teeth, but it’s also not as harmless as plain water. The carbonation makes it slightly acidic, which can slowly weaken enamel if you sip it throughout the day.

That doesn’t mean you need to stop drinking it. It just means a few simple habits can help protect your smile. Try enjoying seltzer with meals instead of continuously sipping, use a straw when you can, and follow it with plain water to help neutralize the acidity. It’s also best to wait about 20–30 minutes before brushing, since enamel can be softer right after exposure to acids.

Your toothbrush can’t reach everywhere, but a water flosser can. A water flosser uses a pressurized stream of water to remove food particles, plaque, and bacteria from between teeth and along the gumline. It is less likely to cause irritation or bleeding compared to string floss, making it a good choice for people with sensitive gums or gingivitis. If you're wondering which water flosser is right for you, ask Drs. Michelle and Peter Davis for a recommendation!
