A few years ago, we talked as a team at Skyline about what it would take to be the absolute best in the field in the entire Pacific Northwest regarding full-arch implant surgery— although there were other places attempting to do these highly complex procedures, none of them were doing it with specialized and dedicated care held to the highest standard. This is a procedure where patients who have either lost their teeth or are at a state of losing their teeth due to chronic decay deemed unsalvageable by traditional dental expertise can have a complete restart by surgical implant placement and new teeth in just hour—it involves the collaboration of board certified, residency-trained oral surgeons to remove the remaining teeth, surgically recontouring and reshaping the upper and lower jaw bones and placement of anywhere from 4-6 titanium alloy implant posts into the each jaw followed by placement of a brand new, 3D printed set of teeth (which are constructed specifically to that patient’s soft tissue, bone structure, jaw shape and implant positioning) onto those implants that very same day. In the span of hours after surgery and placement of those teeth, patients wake up to a brand new smile and chapter of their lives. We am so proud to be the only practice in Oregon and Washington that is both a locally-owned private practice as well as a single location of only specialists doing this surgery using 3D digital designing and printing. This patient was in a removable partial-denture for years and wanted to be able to smile and chew normally again without having to take a denture in and out. We love getting patients to the dream they always had, especially when it’s just in time for the holidays!

Please join us in welcoming our newest surgeon, Dr. Danielle Ploussard, and wishing her a very happy birthday today! 👏🏼🎂😄

Dr. Ploussard was born and raised in Calabasas, CA, studied psychology at UC Berkeley, and went on to earn her dental degree from UCLA, where she was deeply involved in leadership, community outreach, and even founded an A ca****la group. 🎶

She completed advanced surgical training at the University of Washington, UCLA, and OHSU, followed by a fellowship focused on complex orthognathic and reconstructive surgery at the Carolinas Center for Oral and Facial Surgery. Dr. Ploussard has also contributed to national presentations, publications, and research in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.🦷

Outside the clinic, she loves exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two dogs, hiking, camping, skiing, and enjoying Portland’s amazing food scene. 🏕️

Skyline has felt so privileged to continue being sought after by patients in the Pacific Northwest— here’s another happy patient that had a history of previous bone grafting that was able to be utilized for the surgery. Another day and another happy patient. Dr. Sharifi implemented Skyline’s Atrophic Algorithm during this procedure to grant this patient the best opportunity for excellent implant torque and, therefore, ensuring same-day teeth delivery.
