What are NobelPearl™ Ceramic Implants?

The NobelPearl™ ceramic implants by Nobel Biocare is a service provided by Portland Perio Implant Center and Dr. Kamran Haghighat. It is different from other implant systems in that it is metal-free, comes in two pieces, and can be screw-retained.

The implant fixture, the part placed in the tissue, and the abutment, the part above the tissue, are made from zirconia.

In addition, the implant screw that is used for retention of the implant is made from a carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK high-performance polymer material (VICARBO®), often referred to by dental professionals as well as Aerospace engineers as the “material of the future.”
